HeartCode® ACLS is an official AHA two-part program for individuals interested in self-paced, online ACLS certification or recertification. Participants are presented with online course content and realistic patient cases. Participants are required to interact with the program to assess patients, formulate treatment plans (based on the ACLS algorithms) and administer treatments. After completing the didactic portion of the course, you will be required to complete the skills portion with a WISER AHA Instructor. You will receive your AHA ACLS course completion card upon completing the didactic portion and skills test.

    Part 1

The didactic portion requires the participants to complete online scenarios and a written exam. You can complete this anywhere you have an internet connection. The average completion time is up to 4.5 hours. The material needs to be completed in sequential order. However, you do not need to complete it in a single session. You can stop and return later and pick up where you left off.

Once you have completed the online portion, you MUST print the certificate to bring with you for the hands-on skills portion of the course. You have 60 days from completing the online part to complete your skills test.

    Part 2

The skills test is a hands-on assessment facilitated by an AHA-certified ACLS instructor. The average time to completion is 20 minutes, and testing is conducted on-site at WISER or a WISER designated location. You must select your skills portion test date when registering for the course.

    Registration

    • The course fee is $300*. This is a Non-Refundable Program. Once registered, WISER does not have the ability to refund your fees.
    • Select the date from the "Upcoming Event Dates" list above to come to WISER for hands-on testing. Please allow yourself enough time before this date to complete the online portion (Part 1) and print your certificate.
    • After successful payment, you will be automatically registered and receive the information to continue to the AHA site to complete your online course material.
    • Reminder that you must select a date to complete the hands-on skills session when registering for this course. This will be your day and time to come to WISER for your skills test. If you cannot make this date, you must contact WISER.
    • If you are scheduling ACLS and BLS, please pick the same time slot and day for each class. This will allow the instructor to sign you off both while you are WISER.

Cancellation Policy: It is our general policy that, unless otherwise stipulated, if a participant cannot attend a class that is previously paid for, they must inform the course director by email at least two weeks before the class date for a full refund. Course director emails can be found on the directory page for each course on the WISER website.  If the cancellation occurs within two weeks of the class, the participant is subject to the revocation of a portion of the entire course fee to WISER.  In addition, they may be subject to a cancellation fee based upon a percentage of the course cost.
